What is your New Years Resolution?

It has been a very challenging year for many of us and since the year will almost end to begin a new one, let us check again our goals and plans and one of them (a popular one) is a New Years Resolution. Well, it doesn't matter if we can really do all the listings we've made that's why I am posting some funny New Years Resolutions.

P.S(seriously): These are not mine (found in the web) ..ejoy and Happy New Year to everyone =)

* Just for today, I will not sit in my living room all day in my nightdress. Instead, I will move my computer into the bedroom.

* I will no longer waste my time relieving the past, instead I will spend it worrying about the future.

* I will not bore my boss by with the same excuse for taking leaves. I will think of some more excuses.

* I will do less laundry and use more deodorant.

* I will avoid taking a bath whenever possible and conserve more water.

* Assure my lawyer that I will never again show up drunk at a custody hearing.

* I will give up chocolates totally. 100%. Completely. Honestly....

* I will try to figure out why I *really* need nine e-mail addresses.

* I will stop sending e-mails to my wife (husband).

* I resolve to work with neglected children -- my own.

* I will stop sending e-mail, ICQ, Instant Messages and be on the phone at the same time with the same person.

* I will spend less than one hour a day on the Internet. This, of course, will be hard to estimate since I'm not a clock watcher.

* I will read the manual... just as soon as I can find it.

* I will think of a password other than "password."

* I will not tell the same story at every get together.

* I won't worry so much.

* I will cut my hair.

* I will grow my hair.

* I will stop considering other people's feelings when they so obviously don't consider mine - if that unwashed fellow sits next to me again, I'll tell him he stinks!

* I will be more imaginative.

* I will not hang around girls - they think you love them and that sucks.

* I will not ring the stewardess button on airplanes just to get her phone number.

Resolutions You Would be Tempted to Keep...
For those who are scared of making resolutions here are some resolutions they would actually be tempted to keep!!

* Spend more time watching TV / movies.
* Chat more over phone / Internet.
* Read less.
* I want to gain weight. Put on at least 30 pounds.
* Stop exercising. Waste of time.
* Procrastinate more.
* Drink. Drink some more.
* Start being superstitious.
* Spend more less time at work.
* Stop bringing lunch from home: I should eat out more.
* Take up a new habit: Maybe smoking!

A Quiet Christmas

Merry Christmas again to everyone.. It seems that this year is very different from last year, I dont but in our place , there were fewer firecrackers in the eve and lesser people in the streets, I mean , much lesser than expected , provided that the attention for many people(including
myself) to be doing other things. It is really true that there is so much to do know than the past which means our usual activities which is already relevant. I expected everyone to be online most of the time, some even play dota, farmville ,access their facebook , friendster accounts etc during the holidays. I'm also amazed with our ISP(Internet service provider) that the connection is all well during the peak hours.

Well, that is probably better than being getting hurt by firecrackers or being hit by a stray bullet(thats scary). Thats what technology do and I
can imagine in the near future that everyone will be online during the holidays and greet each othere there( that would save greeting cards and paper). Of course the true spirit of Christmas is not about having all the earthly things, its also about knowing that you are not alone in this quiet(or chaotic) holidays..

Truth Behind Santa Claus

Its been a while since I posted something in this blog, and what better way to post something than about Christmas, Just went this interesting article about Santa. Just want to share something for you kids out there uhhmm I mean bloggers...=)

Santa Claus the man is actually loosely rooted in fact, though he hasn't always looked the way he does today, having evolved from a gift-giving Catholic saint who lived during the third century.

The Protestant Reformation and the emigration of European traditions to America morphed that pious figure into the red-suited character that is now one of the most famous images in the world, complete with his iconic army of elves and a magical transportation system.

In an 1822 poem entitled "A Visit from Saint Nicholas" – more commonly called "Twas the Night Before Christmas" – by Clement Moore, Santa is further imagined with a magic sleigh powered by reindeer, a sack full of toys, and a round stomach, "like a bowl full of jelly."

By the late 1800s, most depictions of Santa Claus followed this imagery, but the final cog in the Claus legend was provided by Coca-Cola ad illustrator Haddon Sundblom, whose 1930s red-suited Santa, complete with white-fur trim and leather boots, became the iconic standard recognizable today.

It wasn't until 1809 that Santa Clause got fat, and by the late 1800s he was wearing the full red suit with the fur trim and leather boots. Image credit: stockxpert

Anyways, just want to greet everyone Merry Christmas!!!..=)

Make Money Online: Payperpost

It's been a long time since I posted about making money online topics, though many are already posting about their ways of making money online. It is not uncommon to see many who started blogging or owning a website having a goal to somehow earn online(we all have bills to pay you know).

Though my post today is not a paid post , I just got to share this to everyone. This program really helped me earn online. Honestly though this will not entirely replace my current salary, it still nice to earn some by posting articles. Their program really pays(that's for sure) and if you have a good blog content and like writing(you don't need to be a perfect writer) then you can join the program.

Registration is free and you really got nothing to lose in joining the program.

Filipino won the 2009 CNN Hero of the Year

Another Filipino shows the world that we are not only good and popular in sports(boxing that is) but in humanitarian work as well. If you have seen the news urging us (Filipinos) to vote online for the CNN hero of the Year to the Filipino Efren Peñaflorida Jr for his contributions to the community through a brand of mobile education, or the "pushcart classroom," for urban poor youth.

Peñaflorida, fondly called "Kuya F," was named 2009 CNN Hero of the Year. In his acceptance speech, he said: "Each person has a hidden hero within, you just have to look inside you and search it in your heart, and be the hero to the next one in need." Sophia Dedace file photo "Efren Peñaflorida, who started a ‘pushcart classroom’ in the Philippines to bring education to poor children as an alternative to gang membership, has been named the 2009 CNN Hero of the Year," the world-renowned Cable News Network said in an article posted on its Web site.

The 28-year-old Peñaflorida will receive $100,000 from CNN. The network's top anchor Anderson Cooper announced the winner at the conclusion of the annual awards ceremony.

Earlier, Peñaflorida told GMANews.TV that should he win, he would pledge the prize money to the children that his group, the Dynamic Teen Company, is helping.

In his acceptance speech at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, CNN quoted him as saying: "Serve, serve well, serve others above yourself and be happy to serve. As I always tell my co-volunteers... you are the change that you dream as I am the change that I dream and collectively we are the change that this world needs to be."

The taped event will be aired on November 26, CNN said.

Peñaflorida won over nine other "CNN heroes," seven of whom were American. One of them, 20-year-old Jordan Thomas, lost both his legs in a boating accident and set up a foundation that provides prosthetics to poor children who have also lost limbs.

News of Peñaflorida's selection spread briskly among Filipinos through the Internet. One Facebook user, Kristine Fonacier, had recently spent a year as a volunteer in Guyana. "We need all the hope that we can get from our Manny Pacquiaos," Fonacier wrote. "But here Efren Penaflorida has made a name for himself on the global stage not because he's enormously successful or fabulously wealthy, but because he's given his time to 'helping others.' It's such a simple but world-changing idea, and it's high time we Filipinos get behind it."

Last October, CNN opened the online voting for its Top 10 Heroes. Peñaflorida said that being included in the top 10 alone was already an honor. Still, he refused to take credit for the recognition. "If the people vote for me, they are actually voting for the poor kids DTC is teaching and the dedicated volunteers behind this work," he earlier said.

CNN said more than 2.75 million votes were cast during the seven-week online voting. The network, however, did not indicate how many votes Peñaflorida got.

Peñaflorida, who hails from Cavite City in Cavite province Philippines, started the Dynamic Teen Company in 1997.

His group used “Kariton Klassrooms" or mobile pushcarts to reach out and teach underprivileged children [See: A CNN hero started with a pushcart full of hopes].

The DTC has now over 2,000 members teaching basic reading and writing, and even personal hygiene to marginalized children in slum areas in Cavite using pushcarts filled with books, pens, tables and chairs.

Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao Scandal with Krista Ranillo

I don't if everyone seen and heard the news about the record breaking 7th weight division win by the pambansang kamao Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao, expecting that it would be a smooth sailing until the recent video that is circulating the internet by storm. It is seen that Manny Pacquiao was spotted in his car with an unknown woman(or should I say someone already mention by other sites) after guesting in the Jimmy Kimmel Live. And is getting really obvious after seeing Jinky Pacquiao cried in the mass when the priest preached about love and family.

Well, if it isn't what most people want to see, it is not only in the Philippines that the issue/scandal is rampant but also in other countries as well. It is just to show that Manny Pacquiao is a international icon and known not only in the Philippines but in the whole world.

I wonder what would the other people would say about the issue, especially with the boxers whom he defeater, I know it's non of our business but hey, someone has got to say something. Maybe someone would say it is karma, or just a midlife crisis thing, well that what makes it interesting and also a good topic to talk(not really respectful anyway) but that's what keeps it interesting not only in the ring but the outside as well.

Dextrocardia : Having One

It still amazes me until now how unexpected things are happening and still doesn't really stop at one point or another in our lives. Things you thought that you know already and conditions that you are not aware of until recently. right.. that's what happened a couple of weeks ago.

Thinking that it was an ordinary day in the medical examination, after the annual medical examination I was told by my HR to go back and take the x-ray again because they didn't get a clear, I wasn't really expecting anything wrong, so I went back the other week, then there when while I was in the waiting area for the x-ray, the doctor asked me if I have a "dextrocardia"(I still have no idea what it was), then the I remembered they mention of having one in my previous x-ray results but it was this time they made it clear about the condition.

Dextrocardia is a congenital defect in which the heart is situated on the right side of the body
Dextrocardia situs inversus refers to the heart being a mirror image situated on the right side. For all visceral organs to be mirrored, the correct term is dextrocardia situs inversus totalis.

Dextrocardia is believed[2] to occur in approximately 1 in 12,000[citation needed] people, while one of 30 of these will have situs inversus. Totalis occurs in approximately 1 in 5,000 of dextrocardia situs inversus.

Source: wikipedia

I immediately asked the doctor."Is it normal", she said "no, your abnormal(in a not serious tone), your unique, in fact your a mutant, joke only(smiles)". In fact I wasn't really smiling at that time knowing that I have this type of condition, I was thinking how could this happen and not knowing it all this time. Though the doctor said that I am normal in all aspects, its just that it is really a rare condition, In fact, I am the first patient in the clinic to have one said by the radiologist technician(don't know if its the right term).

Though I am still amaze really to have this condition I mean having a mirror image of heart does mean something, or is it really sign or really doesn't matter, the thing is that I am still glad to live a normal as it is and having this type of condition of living my life to the fullest.

Honestly, this blog is getting a bit rusty and dusty for not really updating that much these past few weeks, though there maybe a thousand excuses for not updating these blog, I still want to post something not just for the sake for updating, or getting web traffic, becoming popular in the webspere(am a private person), etc, it is a matter of coincidence(started this blog as a work project) and
destiny(really not expecting to post about a bit of myself as I am not a public person at heart).

Other bloggers have their own reasons for blogging (hobby, make money online, having friends (even dates), etc.)...the point is that its not what you see a post or in a blog, but on how relevant it is to the person who created it. So in short notice, I still am interested in blogging even if it looks messy or irrelevant in the point of others(thats's what critics are for).

Back in my post, reminiscing from a term (to talk or write about old times, past experiences, etc.).... Since we lived in a fast paced generation(fast indeed), there are times whether we like it or not remember things in the past, though people have different ways of seeing these, it is uncertain when it will flashback or just triggered by a an event or a series of event..

Lets just say, you open a social networking site (facebook, friendster, etc), wondering how are your old pals/gals/classmates/workmates etc. So of course, you tend to watch(stalk..lolz) someones profile. That is why they are very popular right now.

Anyways, its nice to post something after a long hiatus, though its not that much, it is already a fulfillment for me (at least for this struggling blog..hehe)

Brain Rot

Since I have been a little bit tight lately to myself in terms of scheduling my time, I tend to fail to prioritize things properly as what would I want to. I almost forgot I have a blog to maintain (for the domain cost, posts, etc). Not to mention posting anything that has happened. I just remembered way back when I was a student that I would have more time to do things if I can just finish my studies, what comes after that is history ( lesser time that is). It is true that we are given the same amount of time (the same 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and so on and so forth). If I were to answer a person about the important things in life ( "MONEY", "FAMILY", "FRIENDS", "RELATIONSHIPS" , etc), I would probably go for "TIME". All of our activities and routines totally equates to the time we spent doing all these things. Even though I mentioned about this, I myself am guilty of not properly balancing my time (so is true for many).

With all these things running through my head, it is not surprising even though I am active in terms in doing my work and other stuff. There are days that you can't seem to get it right or going your way ,lets just say like forgetting something before going to school/work/etc. For instance, recently left my mobile phone two times in a row including today, I even when home from the office during lunch just to get my phone back. It's just annoying to know that you make the same mistake twice in a row. I don't know if I have a brain gap or something, it is said that too much information and stuff running around my head might be the cause of these.

Anyways, I can still hold at the moment, though I must start doing meaningful things in life and not the other way around. I'm still lucky though to have this blog as one of my 'to do list' even I haven't updated it that much , not really intend to let everyone know I have a blog (its a personal thing), and most of the time I write/post when I have time(which is not that much recently) and might find it interesting to anyone (I wish).

Pressured to Update My Social Networking Life

I guess the time has finally come for me to update my social networking account. It seems ages since I log on one and this time might be different, since I have more friend request than expected(persons I really know) , well since of them are my former classmates, I have don't have much choice but to update them(Not that I don't like), it seems that I am the one left behind in updating these sites. It's ironic that I face the web more than anything I see in a day and I haven't even updated my profiles, photos, etc(not that I do not have anything to post/upload, I really do)but sometimes get a little lazy of uploading photos my not so thick face to the public (am a private person). and I am a little preoccupied of updating my blogs (not just this one), it also adds up to my previous experience of being banned from a social networking site (FRIENDSTER, that is) which deleted all my contacts, pictures , everything.... (bummer)

On the other side I've got see the photos and happenings of all my contacts and got to admit myself to be intrigue with the some of their photos/postings (Human are curious creatures)...only human. Guess I cannot comprehend the power of social networking these days which is really starting to get interesting in my personal opinion. Who knows, this could be the start of a wonderful social networking life.

What Matters

Nothing like a peaceful midnight here sitting in front of my computer and writing(typing) another post. Since I have been into a lot of things lately, its been a different feeling. It is really true as time passed by, the way of seeing things seems different 3-4 years ago. I have read a book by "John Maxwell" that states that your character 4 to 5 years from now will be determined by the books you read and people you meet. Even the way I posted a topic is different since I started blogging. At first, it started as an SEO project, the domain was still, it was really a work related thing. Believe it or not it was even banned for spamming for posting illegal post (Link building).....

Anyways, I'm glad I still have this blog , really, I am just thinking what would become of my blog, 10 -15 years from, come to think of it. It can be my personal biography of some sort(though I don't post very intimate and personal details in my life here). You still have something to look back. Of course, its still different in some social networking sites like facebook, friendster, tagged, etc. The difference is that it is not what you always see like pictures, galleries, Reading blog (a personal blog) is like knowing the different side of a person, which means getting to know someone in terms on how they express themselves through writing(posting) and share their stories and opinions themselves. Believe me, it is different by just looking at pictures/photos. Not that I am against posting photos. It's just that its interesting how some people interpret or react to them. (I hope you know what I'm talking about).... Some would judge according to what they see immediately, lets just say the girl/guys she is with (as curious creatures as we are), some would think, who is she/he?, is that her gf/bf/wife/husband/brother/sister/etc. Of course you wont be noticing it but you already in that somewhat 'spell' of curiosity and continue viewing all the gallery and at the end still left that question in mind so you ask/post a comment of course. That's not really bad at all especially when you are viewing/looking at someone who you haven't been seen for a long time.

The important thing really here is enjoying what you do (like blogging). Having contributed to the community(online) not just by gaining popularity or making money online. Its expressing ourselves and be witness of everything happening around us and looking back at future that we once existed in the blogosphere.

This is really weird. It's not that I'm sick or something, it seems that I am losing my path (My purpose). Most of the time, I do things to reach for something or just the thought of getting something done. But there comes a time that I hit a dead end sort of mind set. I don't know if anyone can relate to this, it's like something/someone deep within me is asking what am I doing?, or what is it I really want? At first I tend to ignore, I just thought it might be a result of stress at work or just plain lack of sleep. Hmmm... I hope it's not what they called a 'middle life crisis' (I'm not that old). Someone mention that to me but I'm sure that's not it.

What to do?...(yep, I post it here). I know I really need to talk this stuff to real homosapien. Since many things happen this past weeks. I might have something they call a "burnout". Since I have little info about it, I searched and explored around the word...........wide web (in short -googled) about it. Well , here's what I found.

The 7 Signs of Burnout
Are you feeling overcome by the stresses of life? Do you feel like you are about
to burn out? Tired of people, ministry, even life? Do you have a hard time getting
up in the morning? If any of these make you stop and think, you may be well on
your way to feeling burned out. Burnout occurs more often than one might expect
with stress being the main cause. You are not alone though; as many as one in
three Americans feel like they have a lot of stress in their lives.
With stress and burnout such a big problem, what are some of the reasons for
feeling burned out? Well, there could be a number of reasons why you are feeling
depressed, tired and stressed or maybe just one or two. It is important to
identify them, and one way to do that is to look at the signs of burnout and see
if they match up with anything in your life. After that you can try to start
cutting back or avoiding those things that cause burnout in your life. Read the
following to learn what the 7 major burnout signs are and then try to think about
whether they show up in your life.

The 7 major signs of Burnout:
1 Constantly busy with "Important" things that cause you to feel overwhelmed.
This could be due to an inability to say no to things, or simply a difficult and
demanding job.
2 Feeling tired or constantly staying up late at night and not getting enough
sleep. People might tell you that you look tired or you often fall asleep in
meetings or church.
3 Reacting negatively to people or getting angry over little things. This
doesn't mean just getting angry with close friends and family, it also means you
ignore or respond harshly to people you normally have to work hard at being nice
4 A sense of being spiritually drained or uninterested in the Bible and
church. You might find yourself being distracted at church or simply wondering why
you bother going.
5 Spiritual stagnation, no motivation to grow in your relationship with God.
6 Neglecting personal needs and those of your family. You might feel that you
are already spending all of your energy on ministry or other 'good' things and
when you come home you have nothing left and you just want to sit and be left
alone or do whatever you want to do.
7 Work or ministry has become monotonous and you feel no enjoyment in what you
do. This could be from working in the wrong kind of job.
Do you see these signs in your own life? Even small parts of these signs could be
an indicator that you might be getting burned out from your ministry or job. And
when you get burned out, your effectiveness in your job or ministry drops to near

Now that you know what signs of burnout might be in your life, it’s time to look
into recovering and healing from burnout.
It is important to note that stress at times in some small amounts can be good. It
can help motivate, and encourage you to get things done. But it is easy to go from
a reasonable amount of stress to way too much, stress in your life. It can
sometimes be hard to tell when you have a reasonable amount and when you are
overloaded but if you notice any of the signs, it probably means you have to much
stress in your life.
Burnout on the other hand, is not something you want any amount of in your life.
It is important to realize the difference now so that you can deal with it and
recover as soon as possible.

Damn too busy

It is not that I am complaining, I am actually thankful to have something to do. Since I am already working, you might have noticed the inconsistency of my blog post. Most of my post are not really what you called a "real post". Just a embedded image/video or a copy of an article from source. I would really like to post something that is actually my real post. It's just that it's a bit awkward writing yourself online or mentioning some personal things. Though it is unfair for tag this blog as a personal blog, but only few post about personal stuff. Guess I am not the expressive type of person offline and online.

Since I have been blog hoppping, most of the blogs I visited are from teens, ranges from ages 16 to early 20's. It is really amazing how they can easily post something about themselves and never get awkward about it. They can say about anything about a certain person (which would I would never do). It's more of their semi-diary of their lives.

Anyways , I'm glad I still have time to update my blogs(though not that much), I may not have that much to say...that's just to know that this blog is still active and will run for long period of time,

Wondergirls | Nobody Nobody But You Phenomenon | Fever

Believe it or not, I am actually hearing the song while writing this post. It is really amazing how people interact and know the song. It's been a popular song for a while now. The first time I heard the song was from my officemate, I thought it was just a regular Korean song from a koreanovela, I never thought it will be a popular song/dance.

The wonder girls (nobody) has been a hit in youtube, it has a over a million (more 2 million to be exact) views. It is really fun to see that not only women are fond of the song and dance but even some of the men. I sometimes hear someone sing in out place (really funny I must say). Of course, I have to watch the video myself. As I watched it, It is not that surprising why it become so popular, the girls are very cute(hot, in my opinion, the girl in the front is name Son Hee by the way (thanks google)). Second the dance step, the song is really simple to learn, even though it is Korean, the chorus sets it all up. The stepping is very cute and fits with the song (especially with the chorus part).

It is really a fun song to hear even though we already understand 3-4 words for the whole song/lyrics (that includes the title/artist)

Play the song here:

Wait, I am not done yet, our very own BBRC inmates(prisoners) here in cebu have their own version of Wonder uhmmm... girls?? , what can I say, they are not only inmates but entertainers at the same time.

Be dazzled

We often take opportunities for granted, though there are many instances that we get a once in a lifetime opportunity in our lifetime, not even once but many times. The important thing is do we get to chance to get these type of opportunities.. probably not that much. Though it is true that it will not always come our way but there is really no harm in trying. I myself have passed some opportunities in life. We can learn from this and do better the next time.

It doesn't matter if you are lucky or not. The moment you have these opportunities, you better grab it. I have seen a lot of people who never give up in terms of taking there chances whether be in game, sports, gambling or even raffles. People still pursue to get that opportunity.

For example, opportunities that involved in getting the best item or the best quality, lets just say an auction. If you have seen an actual auction or in television shows. You often wonder why people went there in the first place or what value they can get in an auction. The truth in these auctions is that it is not entirely about money earned or spent. Some of these auctions held this type of selling in order to raise money for charity works at the same time, satisfy the bidder or even get bonuses in there part.

The Bidazzled is one of them. They offer auctions of different items of different kind. The good thing is that you can bid high quality items with the lower price especially if the bid is low. They also funded charity works which is a win win situation for the bidder, not only they acquire valuable items, they also contribute and help the community as well.

Aug 5,2009 - A special non-working holiday for Corazon 'Cory' Aquino's funeral

Malacañang has declared Wednesday, Aug. 5, as a special non-working holiday in commemoration of the late former President Corazon “Cory” Aquino. The private funeral of Aquino will be held on Wednesday. She will be buried beside her late husband, Senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino, Jr. at the Manila Memorial Park. According to deputy presidential spokesperson Lorelei Fajardo, the declaration of Wednesday as a special non-working holiday will allow the nation to witness the moments before Aquino is brought to her final resting place, radio dzMM reported. A mass will be held at 9 a.m. at the Manila Cathedral before the burial. Fajardo earlier announced that President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has cut short her United States trip in order to make it to Aquino’s funeral service on Wednesday. Arroyo will leave New York for Manila on Saturday (Sunday in the Philippines). The chief executive declared a 10-day period of national mourning (Aug. 1 to Aug. 10) over the death of Aquino through Proclamation No. 1850. Aquino, 76, succumbed to colon cancer on Saturday at 3:18 a.m. Her wake is at the La Salle Green Hills (LSGH) gymnasium in Mandaluyong City. The public viewing at LSGH began at 5 p.m. of Saturday and will continue until Monday. The daily viewing schedule will be until 4 a.m., and will resume at 7 a.m.

No state funeral for Cory, says son

The Aquino family has opted for a private funeral for the late Corazon Aquino instead of a state funeral given to former presidents, according to Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.

Aquino said this was because his mother had chosen to be a private citizen when she finished her term in 1992, years after she was installed as the first woman president during the People Power revolution.

The democracy icon succumbed to colon cancer 3:18 am, August 1.

“We want to spend as much time as possible as a family,” said Aquino, as he thanked the public for following their advisories that visitors were not allowed at the Heritage Memorial Park.

He added that a necrology service in Malacanang might not be possible.

Between love and madness, lies xenophobia

“I’m not anticipating an offer, I’m not asking for an offer. There’s a point in time that we would want privacy,” he said.

A public viewing, however, has been scheduled at the La Salle Greenhills gym starting 5 pm Saturday until Monday morning. The former president will then be brought to Manila Cathedral for an overnight vigil, requiem masses and necrological services. Interment will be at the Manila Memorial Park on Wednesday, the Aquino family said.

Aquino said his mother will wear her signature yellow dress and will be buried beside her husband, former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino, whose assassination sparked the first EDSA revolution.

Fighting back tears during the press conference, Aquino said his sisters have been very emotional, but the death of their mother brought them closer.

“We draw strength from the five of us,” the senator said in a press conference Saturday.

He said he last talked to his mother days ago, before doctors gave the former president morphine to ease her pain.

“We were told to say everything we want to say because after the morphine she will be sleeping all the time,” he said.

He related that instead of complaining about her illness, the former president would first think about her children’s welfare or check what was on the news.

“Nung first time ko magbantay, she would ask me kung kumain na ako. Other times nagbabasa ako ng diyaryo itatanong niya ano laman niyan. She never demonstrated pain,” he said.

No More Free Hosting Services | Google & Yahoo

Is it just me or the free service (hosting) is slowly to decline. It has been happening a while now and I feel a little bit uneasy about the slowly closing of some free service (hosting files).

Okay, lets start with google, the search engine giant has been around for a long time, expecting that they will (of course) upgrade their services and improve quality. Just a few months ago (probably in the first quarter of the year), they announced that google pages will be replace (not remove) by the google sites, which means you cannot upload files (to be used in pages). It is understandable though because of the increasing members and population of the web. And most of them applied or used google pages for free storage of their files especially for blogs.

Next with yahoo, I just received an email early this month , stated that yahoo geocities will no longer operate and will be closed (waahh!). To think that it already existed for a long time (I think everyone with geocities account received the email). It is really sad personally because it was the site where I build by first website when I was in high school. Maybe because of the growing popularity of blogsites and the many free blog and social bookmarking services that faded the geocities popularity.

Maybe these companies are now changing strategy when it comes to reaching the internet users. For now, no doubt the social networking sites dominate the web with increasing members and popularity.

I just hope that they will not remove the blogspot free services or make payments out of it in the future.

I have been wondering how cars get to at certain speed. I am truly amazed to see fast cars even in the public street. Though the exterior is common to other cars, it seems that their interior or their machines have a secret that everyone does not know. Come to think of it, fast cars are getting popular especially with the movies and shows regarding cars and how cool they are and popular (mostly to girls). I always dreamed of having my set of wheels not only with very cool exterior but also a very good interior machine.

I have seen a mercedes benz with a mercedes supercharger installed in the car. It really is a very cool to have a turbo charger install in the car. Especially with the additional speed and the durability of the car. It is also supported by other car products and will surely give your car the boost power it needs to go in the tough roads. They also offer super chargers that will fit into many brands. The company also offer other products for your car like car parts, accessories and many more. Getting your car pimped is very important and it will give you the assurance that your engine will be safe and most in condition at all times.

Email Classics (Two Travelling Angels)

I am currently cleaning my inbox and emails and I found one of the email forward archives.

Two traveling angels

Keep reading to the bottom of the page -- don't
stop at the feet (You'll see).

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night
in the home of a wealthy family.

The family was rude and refused to let the angels
stay in the mansion's guest room.

Instead the angels were given a small space in
the cold basement.

As they made their bed on the hard floor, the
older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it.

When the younger angel asked why, the older angel

After sharing what little food they had the couple
let the angels sleep in their bed where they could
have a good night's rest.

When the sun came up the next morning the angels
found the farmer and his wife in tears.

Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole
income, lay dead in the field.

The younger angel was infuriated and asked the
older angel how could you have let this happen?

The first man had everything, yet you helped him,
she accused.

The second family had little but was willing to
share everything, and you let the cow die.

"Things aren't always what they seem," the older
angel replied.

"When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I
noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the

Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and
unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the
wall so he wouldn't find it."

"Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed,
the angel of death came for his wife. I gave him
the cow instead.

Things aren't always what they seem."

Sometimes that is exactly what happens when things
don't turn out the way they should. If you have
faith, you just need to trust that every out come
is always to your advantage. You just might not
know it until some time later...

Super Mom - Mommy Dionisia

Very funny...lolz

Behind every successful man is a woman.

In the case of Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, there are several women, one of them being his supermom, Dionisia Pacquiao, now better known not just as Aling Dionisia but for the more sosyal monicker Mommy Dionisia.

A scene-stealer in her own right, Mommy Dionisia never fails to keel over into a dead faint everytime she watches Pacman fight, clutching a rosary and fervently praying to her favorite Sto. Niño to spare her son from the punches.

She became an overnight celebrity in the wake of Pacman’s recent title bout with Ricky Hatton (knocked out in the second round) when she marked her belated “debut” at 60 with a bongga party in their native GenSan, dancing as if there were no tomorrows and changing designer clothes no less than five times. The event (yes, it was an EVENT) was covered “live” by TV, with Pacman, the dutiful and pampering son, watching with gleeful approval from the sidelines, happily leaving the spotlight to his mom. A new Dancing Queen was born.

Two Saturdays ago, Conversations caught Mommy Dionisia at the dressing room of the new GMA Studios being made up for her dancing exhibition on Startalk with her favorite D.I. (Dance Instructor), wearing the red dress that she said was given to her by Lucy Torres when she guested on Lucy’s TV5 show Shall We Dance?.

Mommy Dionisia turned out to be quite a delight even off the dancefloor.

To retain the flavor and the flow, Conversations is retelling the free-flowing exchange as is, in Visayan-Tagalog that is.

D-I-O-N-I-S-I-A. Dionisia.”

Talaga bang mahilig na kayong sumayaw from way back?

“Oo naman. Basta type mo ang sayaw, madali kang matuto at maturuan.”

Anu-anong dance ang type mo?

“Tango, Cha-Cha, Boogie at Swing. Ang unang tinuro sa akin ng mga D.I. ay Swing.”

Linawin natin, Mommy Dionisia, ha. Nanliligaw daw ba sa’yo ang D.I. mo?

“A, hindi totoo. ‘Yung humahawak sa akin ngayon, bagong D.I. ko. ‘Yung dati, nag-abroad daw. Pinalitan ko dahil hindi niya kaya ang mga lifting. Maliit lang kasi siya, eh.”

Bakit, mabigat ka ba?

“Hindi. Ang weight ko 45 kilos lang. Matagal kami hindi nakasayaw. Sabi niya, ‘Mommy, bumigat ka’.”

What’s your height ba?

“Ay, nakalimutan ko. Nandoon sa cedula ko.”

Paano mo mini-maintain ang figure mo?

“Naga-gym ako sa GenSan, doon sa mall.”

Ano pang ibang workout mo?

Malambot man ang katawan niya. Sa bahay, naga-workout din ako habang nanonood ng aerobic na video. Anim na posisyon ‘yon. Ginagaya ko.”

At ano naman ang diet mo?

“Ang pagkain ko, control; hindi sobra. Sa breakfast, normal lang. Hindi man ako magkain ng chichiria kasi bawal. Ang favorite food ko? Seafood.”

Sixteen years na akong walang asawa. Happy na ako magtingin sa mga apo ko. Kumpleto na ako.”

A, okay.

Dati dalawa. Ngayong may threat ako, apat na.”

Balita ko tatlo daw ang cell phone n’yo.

“A, ang CP ko? Oo, tatlo. Iba-iba ang number. Dala ko palagi lahat. Isa Globe, isa Smart at isa TM.”

Para daw ako nag-debut na 18 years old. ‘Yung sa akin, debut na 60! Hahahaha!”

A, so hindi ka nakapag-debut noong 18 years old ka?

“Hindi, eh.”

Naaalala mo ba kung saan ka nandoon noong nag-18 years old ka?

Sabi niya, ‘Ang ganda!’ Binigyan niya ako ng pera, malaki-laki.”

Ganoon? Magkano?

“Sobra 25 dollars.”

Ang liit!

“Twenty-five thousand dollars ‘yon. Sabi niya, ‘Kayo na ang magbili ng gusto mo, ‘Mang’.”

Naubos mo ‘yon sa shopping? Almost one million pesos ‘yon.

“Bumili ako ng mga damit, mga bag.”

Ilan na ba ang mga bag mo ngayon?

“Marami na. May mga Louis Vuitton.”

Mga gown ilan?

“Marami na rin. Dalawa galing sa US.

‘Yung sa My Monster Mom? Napanood ko ‘yon. Uy, kilala ko si Annabelle Rama. Nanonood ‘yon ng boksing ni Manny sa Las Vegas.”

Uy, saan pala ‘yung Rolex na birthday gift sa’yo ni Manny? Bakit hindi mo suot?

“A, tinago ko. Muntik kasi natanggal kanina n’ung naga-praktis kami ng dancing. Baka malaglag uli, masira. Sayang. Mahal pa naman. 300,000 ‘yan.”

“Hindi. Pesos.”

‘Yung car na binigay sa’yo ni Manny, ginagamit mo ba?

“Oo naman.”

Kumusta ‘yung house?

“Si Manny ang nagpagawa n’un. May darating pa; ipapagawa din ni Manny. Doon sa GenSan. Malaki. ‘Yung first na bahay namin, medyo maliit. Two hundred square meters lang.”

Ilang square meters ‘yung tatayuan ng bagong bahay?

“Six hundred square meters.”

Kayo ba ni Jinkee okay na? May gap daw kayo noon?

“Anong gap?”

‘Yung hindi okay sa isa’t-isa.

“A, wala. Okay kami.

Mayroon ka bang Fans Day?

Thunderbird Rocks

I have been looking for an email client that can handle various emails as well as to organize them, as I research the web I narrowed my choices into two, that is the Microsoft Mozilla Outlook and the Microsoft Outlook.

I have used Microsoft Outlook at look for a very long time now, and so far, it is very good in terms of organizing email and not to mention the synchronization capabilities with different software applications and other utilities. Yep, I used it a lot especially with my projects and I can't really say something negative really. But there is just one thing, it's "Windows" (no offense). Personally, I prefer something free (open source that is). And I found this other email client (actually the second in the list next to outlook). The Mozilla thunderbird, as expected from an open source, its free! (duh), and it also supports different mail clients and has functionality similar to outlook. It is also lightweight which means , you don't have to install the whole package (like Microsoft Office) in the system.

Setting up thunderbird is also easy and straightforward, they have also an option to setup directly for gmail(google) account and sets it up fairly simple. It is really important to organize your emails especially when you have lots of them and organize them accordingly to your preference.

Download Thunderbird for free here.

Inspiring Masterpiece

This is a masterpiece. If you have not read it, take the time to read it now. If you have read it, take time to read it again! It speaks a lot about truths in life and what's happening now.

GEORGE CARLIN (His wife recently died....and George followed her, dying July 2008)

Isn't it amazing that George Carlin - comedian of the 70's and 80's - could write something so very eloquent...and so very appropriate.

A Message by George Carlin:

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways , but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less.. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete...

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, 'I love you' to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Roger Federer : Wimbledon Champion ...Again

It seems that no one can stop the Federer Express, not this time, not even for the longest match in Singles Men's final history. I can consider myself already lucky to be in this generation and witnessed the greatest tennis player of all time play live (television),and do what no one has ever done in the sport.

Just recenlty he defeated the american Andy Roddick in an epic five setter match, in more than 4 hours of great tennis.

I'll just create the list to describe about this Wimbledon achievement by Federer.

1. 15 Grand Slam Titles Surpassing Pete Sampras of 14
2. Return his rankings to world number 1
3. Longest match in Wimbledon Men's Final
4. Glued his position as the 'Greatest Player of All Time'
5. ..Still hungry to win more
6. lists goes on..

It's just amazing to watch him play and how people admire his presence in and off court. Just as what Pete Sampras said, "he is not only a legend but an icon". We will sure see more of Roger Federer victorious in the future.

Michael Jackson and A(H1N1) Virus

What do this two names have in common?, (No, Michael Jackson didn't die of h1n1 virus). They are one(two) of the most popular names/terms in the world today. Unfortunately, it is also a cause of grief for everyone (fans or not fans alike). This post is a tribute of the late "King of Pop".

Since the news spread, every time I passed by a store or a watch a show in television. Almost all send a message of tribute to Michael Jackson , I mean who can blame them, He is one or probably the most influential person in the world. I often hear his song played in houses, radios and the internet . I even saw a flash game in tribute to him. Most searches around the world wide web and the search engines type only his name as of today.

Even downloads of his songs over the net are hit as though it is a new album or composed song is released. yeah, it was sudden. I admit I may not be a fanatic fan of Michael Jackson but just asking if you know that person, only a counted individuals doesn't know him (unless they have no radio ,television and live on caves).

This event will just be a reminder that people will remember only good things(legacy) for a person even if he/she has not been on a really right track(direction) of his/her life till his time had come.

Michael Jackson is Dead

At age 50, the "King of Pop" Michael Jackson died at a hospital in UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.

The circumstances of Jackson's death were not immediately clear. Jackson was not breathing when Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to a call at his Los Angeles home about 12:30 p.m.,

So many people wanted to verify the early reports of Jackson's death that the computers running Google's news section interpreted the fusillade of "Michael Jackson" requests as an automated attack for about half an hour Thursday evening.

Comeback had been planned
Jackson was preparing for what was to be his greatest comeback: He was scheduled for an unprecedented 50 shows at a London arena, with the first set for July 13. He was in rehearsals in Los Angeles for the concert, an extravaganza that was to capture the classic Jackson magic: showstopping dance moves, elaborate staging and throbbing dance beats.

Hundreds of people gathered outside the hospital as word of his death spread. The emergency entrance at the UCLA Medical Center, which is near Jackson’s rented home, was roped off with police tape.

“Ladies and gentlemen, Michael Jackson has just died,” a woman boarding a Manhattan bus called out shortly after the news was announced. Immediately many riders reached for their cell phones.

Searching a Web Host

Recently, I have been searching all over the web about web hosting companies. Since my blog has been around for more than a year now, and I have purchased a domain for it. I think it is time for me to move to hosting my own site, I have been using free blogging services which is not that bad if you are just starting a blog or a blogsite. Also, having your own webhost has its advantage, you can control everything in your site from the designs and the layout without any restrictions. Having your own host also will help your site look professional and has a higher presence when it comes to search engines or SEO.

Finding the right webhost is easier said than done, from my research on the internet. I have visited different reviews, each with their own picks(webhost) and their own rankings, first I am pessimistic about some of the review, it seems that some are just advertising their own choices and not really look carefully about which is the right hosting for everybody.

I have read many web hosting reviews and I found a site which for me offers the best reviews and comparisons for my webhosting needs. I have read their blog about finding the right web host and I am very satisfied with the results. I find their reviews unbiased and doesn't post the reviews to advertise but to give the right description of a certain web host site.

The site offers variety of hosting options for those who want to purchase a web host. They categorized their options for users to choose which to choose depending on their specialties. They also have the hosting awards for the best in their respective categories or the web host main strength. For those who want to have information about web host and which one to choose. Visit the site for more information.

You think you have family problems?

Two men met at a bus stop and struck up a conversation.

One of them kept complaining of family problems.

Finally, the other man said: "You think you have family problems? Listen
to my situation."

"A few years ago, I met a young widow with a grown-up daughter. We got
married and I got myself a stepdaughter. Later, my father married my
stepdaughter. That made my stepdaughter, my step-mother.

And my father became my stepson. Also, my wife became mother-in-law of
her father-in-law."

"Much later the daughter of my wife, my stepmother, had a son.

This boy was my half-brother because he was my father's son. But he was
also the son of my wife's daughter which made him my wife's grand-son.
That made me the grand-father of my half-brother."

"This was nothing until my wife and I had a son. Now the half-sister of
my son, my stepmother, is also the Grandmother. This makes my father,
the brother-in-law of my child, whose stepsister is my father's wife, I am
my stepmother's brother-in-law, my wife is her own child's aunt, my son
is my father's nephew & I am my OWN GRANDFATHER!"

"And you think you have FAMILY PROBLEMS!?"

Diesel Parts Pros

Getting stuck in the street during rush hours is one of the most annoying things that could happen anytime, not to mention the heavy traffic and the hot heads for everyone around, when going to work , school, or other important matters. I just got caught up in a traffic jam this morning, knowing the cause was engine trouble of an another car. It really happens particularly in the busy streets where the temperature is hot especially in summer.

In a taxi cab, it could get very warm and discomforting. There diesel parts that offers a solution to most of auto problems. For example the discount compressor, it is your source for automotive ac compressor and much more. We offer the lowest price on a/c compressor, condenser, drier, air conditioning compressor and more. The auto air conditioning compressor is an important part of the car and we have you covered.

Getting to know your vehicle is important because it you can determine if ever there is an engine trouble and know which part need repairs. You cannot always rely on someone to check up with your car over and over again, also to avoid extra cost in repairs. It is really tough purchasing a new vehicle in this time of global economic crisis. You might as well do the works in your vehicle rather that paying huge amount of bucks for extra service.

It is advisable to do a maintenance check of you cars and regular check up to make sure it will not get stuck in the streets and promote safety to yourself as well as public.

Roger Federer : New French Open 2009 (Roland Garros) Champion

Robin Soderling----------------------------Roger Federer

I just finished watching the French Open 2009 Tennis finals between Roger Federer and Robin Soderling and after the long wait and 4th consecutive Roland Garros Final, Roger Federer finally claimed his first French Open Title defeating Soderling in a 6-1 7-6 6-4 scoreline. Roger Federer dominated from the start of the match with a 6-1 win in the first set, then a tie break in the second which is the most tight part of the match and a nerve wracking third set.

As I watch in the final set and Roger Federer was serving for the match leading 5-4 in the third set. Roger just feel the tension and not serving at his best. Almost lost his serve but the Swiss hold on to his nerves and claim the title he has been chasing in his career. Not only he completed the 4 Grand Slam Titles, he equaled Pete Sampras' 14 Grand Slam Record Title which for me considered Federer the greatest Tennis Player of all time.
