Why We Live as Long as We Do

Author is unknown, but still very interesting and somehow true... enjoy :-)

On the first day God created the cow. God said, "You must go to the field with the farmer all day long and suffer under the sun, have calves and give milk to support the farmer I will give you a life span of sixty years."

The cow said, "That's a kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty years. Let me have twenty years and I'll give back the other forty."

And God agreed.

On the second day, God created the dog. God said, "Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. I will give you a life span of twenty years."

The dog said, "That's too long to be barking. Give me ten years and I'll give back the other ten."

So God agreed (sigh).

On the third day God created the monkey. God said, "Entertain people, do monkey tricks, make them laugh. I'll give you a twenty year life span."

The monkey said, "How boring, monkey tricks for twenty years? I don't think so. Dog gave you back ten, so that's what I'll do too, okay?"

And God agreed again.

On the fourth day God created man. God said, "Eat, sleep, play. Do nothing, just enjoy, enjoy. I'll give you twenty years."

Man said, "What? Only twenty years? No way! Tell you what, I'll take my twenty, and the forty cow gave back, and the ten dog gave back and the ten monkey gave back. That makes eighty, okay?"

"Okay," said God. "You've got a deal."

So this is why for the first twenty years we eat, sleep, play, enjoy, and do nothing;

for the next forty years we slave in the sun to support our family;

for the next ten years we do monkey tricks to entertain our grandchildren;

and for the last ten years we sit in front of the house and bark at everybody.

Direct TV

Ever since the invention of the television, it has been a very popular electronic device and it is mostly visible among homes especially here in my country. The influence of television is continually growing as time passed by, you can reach many places with just a touch of the remote. For some, it is seemingly impossible to live without a television. Even a survey shows that many of us spend more time on TV than reading, which is very true for many.

Today, television has gotten farther, from entertainment, celebrities, movies, news etc. It is becoming a lifestyle for many and even a good business not only to the celebrities but to the advertisers as well. Having a good reception in your TV is very important as well, having to watch all the channels with different movies, for example, the Direct TV offers different packages for you to choose from. If you want, you can watch unlimited movies or have endless channels to choose from. Many companies are now offering Direct TV Service in their homes and the quality and entertainment is really worth it.

The good thing about these services is that you don't have to wait for a long time to watch movies that is recently released. Also, you can watch other channels of another country which is good to watch other shows or channels outside your place or area. The Direct TV System is a really good product for those who want to have the best TV experience and enjoy high quality shows with different channels.

Being An Introvert

Contrary to what most people think, an introvert is not simply a person who is shy. In fact, being shy has little to do with being an introvert! Shyness has an element of apprehension, nervousness and anxiety, and while an introvert may also be shy, introversion itself is not shyness. Basically, an introvert is a person who is energized by being alone and whose energy is drained by being around other people.

Introverts are more concerned with the inner world of the mind. They enjoy thinking, exploring their thoughts and feelings. They often avoid social situations because being around people drains their energy. This is true even if they have good social skills. After being with people for any length of time, such as at a party, they need time alone to "recharge."

When introverts want to be alone, it is not, by itself, a sign of depression. It means that they either need to regain their energy from being around people or that they simply want the time to be with their own thoughts. Being with people, even people they like and are comfortable with, can prevent them from their desire to be quietly introspective.

Being introspective, though, does not mean that an introvert never has conversations. However, those conversations are generally about ideas and concepts, not about what they consider the trivial matters of social small talk.

Introverts make up about 60% of the gifted population (ahemm) but only about 25-40% of the general population (so dont worry , extroverts still rules)..

Watching TV Live

Watching TV has been a more of culture than just a regular pastime for many people across the globe. There is a new way of watching TV the way you want it with the hassle of purchasing DVDs and players. You can watch directtv by just ordering any movie you like and will be shown to you directly.

There are many choices with regards to watching television shows and programs. with direct tv, you choose from a wide array of shows in order and provide satisfaction to its subscribers. As digital forms are getting popular, in the future watching tv and new movies will just like operating the remote control with all access to all the movies and shows you want.

Spend enough time alone..

I like to be alone. It may sound weird but true. In our present culture, being alone is a sign of loneliness, depression or an outcast, but this isn't fair . Spending time alone can be good in terms of reflecting yourself or making decisions (especially personal and important ones). Though it is true that life is about meeting people along the way and the people that touch our lives, it is imperative to say that "no man is an island".

Spending time with yourself can be with different forms like, watching tv, playing video games, read book , etc.

I have read about an article about the positive side of spending time alone.

"Being alone isn't a statement about your relationships. Although I believe that relationships with others are a very important aspect to life and to our happiness, spending time alone is also extremely beneficial to our mental health and happiness. Here is why:

1. Self Discovery: Spending time alone gives you the ability to discover things about yourself and to get a real understanding of who you are. We have grown to appreciate the art of getting to know others, but in reality, it is even more important to get to know ourselves, our preferences, our likes and dislikes without other people's influences.
2. Higher Sense of Independence and Increased Self-Esteem: Being alone and getting comfortable with being alone gives you a higher sense of independence. Relying on yourself to make choices and decisions increases your self confidence, which then permeates other aspects of your life, including the times you are in the presence of others.
3. No Need to Compromise: Often, we compromise when we are in the presence of others. We usually work with one another to reach agreement on everything, from what we will have for dinner to what TV show to watch. Spending time alone allows you to indulge yourself with the things you want to do and the things you love, without any negotiation.
4. Rejuvenation for Your Soul: Getting away from others allows you to decompress and relax. It gives you a break from the have tos and allows you to focus on the want tos. It lets you address your own needs as opposed to everyone elses and gives you the opportunity to rejuvenate and push the 'restart' button.
5. A Fresh Perspective: Time alone gives you the opportunity to clear your mind and to weed through a lot of thoughts. This allows you to get to the heart of what YOU really think as opposed to being told or influenced by others and their opinions. It gives you time to reflect on what is important in your life and how you feel about every day situations that need to be addressed.
6. Higher Appreciation for Those You Love: Giving yourself the ability to be alone allows you to have a greater appreciation for the time you spend with others. If you never have time for yourself, you'll wish you did. It is important to find some balance in this; but once you do, you'll enjoy your relationships even more.

For some, being alone isn't really that simple (based on personal side). Actually it is not for everyone though especially for extrovert persons, but spending enough time alone may only be the time where you can truly live and discover other prospective in life.

Tracking Employees

I belive almost everyone has heard about 'Big Brother', it is a very popular reality show where a group of people stay together in one house, in which each their movements and activities are tracked directly through your television screens, I have watched it myself and find it amusing to see how people react to different situations and able to judge their actions. You can also see their traits and characteristics, how they interact with other people.

Same is also true in the office, the thing is that only very view companies are able to track their employee in terms of work and productivity, it is very important since you can see how each employee works and the things they have done for that particular they, tracking every project is also essential in measuring the productivity of work.
There many employee monitoring software out there, but the thing is that we want to use that is both functional and user friendly. This particular tracking software does all work in terms of monitoring employees in real time with security and precision in terms of tracking time and work.

Car Upgrades

Automobiles or cars are the most popular mode of land transportation. It is important for drivers to be safe not only in driving but also when it comes to maintenance of their cars, always go for the experts when it comes to repairs and upgrades, it's amazing nowadays to find the right solution. Since most of these parts and gears are accessible online. One is the audi turbocharger , when you want an extra boost to your cars engine.

The important thing is that these parts must be durable and reliable. You can search online for more car parts, or ask for advice about anything before you purchase anything. Though I am not a car expert (yet), its better to know at least the basics. You can learn a lot from the site.

Careful in Blogging

It seems that everytime I logged in to my blog, I almost instantly blank out of blog topics to post. I don't know if that's what they call a mental block for blogging or just stress out of all the things happening in my life. Since I have been planning a lot of things to do with this blog and everything, not to mention my work. Just posting a blog topic can be a little tricky. Just because you/we are free to post anything to blogs, we must also consider what topics we post, who visits the blog. It really doesn't matter if you want to express yourself or to share something. Being in a present state of mind is really important in posting a topic.

You cannot just post anything or everything that might haunt you in the future, for instance, you post all about your work and the details of it. Who knows, your boss or some of your colleagues are reading your blogs or post. And whether we like it or not, they can used this small details against you or might haunt you in the future. Not that I am being paranoid or something but that's just reality and we have to be aware of it, internet can be a very effective weapon to blackmail to destroy someone.

Writing a blog when your in an emotional roller coaster might be not a very good idea, though I have read some blogs that contains intense expression of feelings, might be anger, sorrow, pain etc. It is still safe just minimize the contents to the extent that you will not pin point or hurt other people in the process. And most importantly, don't post full names of real person in blogs/post, except when he/she is a celebrity or a public figure. If you are a blog addict or something like that, just remember to post smart maintain the dignity of yourself and your blog.

Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao defeats Ricky "Hitman" Hatton in 2nd Round

Once again the "Pambansang Kamao" shows us the power and speed in his recent fight with Ricky Hatton, In the 2nd Round of the fight, Manny Pacquiao KO'ed Ricky Hatton in a what it seemed the most one sided fight I have ever seen in Pacquiao's fights.

Even Hattons trainer/coach Floyd Mayweather Sr. is stunned of Pacquiao's performance. At the start of round 1, Manny already knocked Hatton down 2 times, first was the right hand and second the left hand. Hatton was even stunned and seemed didn't know what hit him, in the second, Hatton was hit again by the very powerful left hand by Manny Pacquiao bringing Hatton down straight stopping the fight before the round 2 ends.

News says that Floyd Mayweather Jr. will come back to the boxing scene from retirement this July, which is rumored to be the next opponent for Manny Pacquiao.
