Burnout

This is really weird. It's not that I'm sick or something, it seems that I am losing my path (My purpose). Most of the time, I do things to reach for something or just the thought of getting something done. But there comes a time that I hit a dead end sort of mind set. I don't know if anyone can relate to this, it's like something/someone deep within me is asking what am I doing?, or what is it I really want? At first I tend to ignore, I just thought it might be a result of stress at work or just plain lack of sleep. Hmmm... I hope it's not what they called a 'middle life crisis' (I'm not that old). Someone mention that to me but I'm sure that's not it.

What to do?...(yep, I post it here). I know I really need to talk this stuff to real homosapien. Since many things happen this past weeks. I might have something they call a "burnout". Since I have little info about it, I searched and explored around the word...........wide web (in short -googled) about it. Well , here's what I found.

The 7 Signs of Burnout
Are you feeling overcome by the stresses of life? Do you feel like you are about
to burn out? Tired of people, ministry, even life? Do you have a hard time getting
up in the morning? If any of these make you stop and think, you may be well on
your way to feeling burned out. Burnout occurs more often than one might expect
with stress being the main cause. You are not alone though; as many as one in
three Americans feel like they have a lot of stress in their lives.
With stress and burnout such a big problem, what are some of the reasons for
feeling burned out? Well, there could be a number of reasons why you are feeling
depressed, tired and stressed or maybe just one or two. It is important to
identify them, and one way to do that is to look at the signs of burnout and see
if they match up with anything in your life. After that you can try to start
cutting back or avoiding those things that cause burnout in your life. Read the
following to learn what the 7 major burnout signs are and then try to think about
whether they show up in your life.

The 7 major signs of Burnout:
1 Constantly busy with "Important" things that cause you to feel overwhelmed.
This could be due to an inability to say no to things, or simply a difficult and
demanding job.
2 Feeling tired or constantly staying up late at night and not getting enough
sleep. People might tell you that you look tired or you often fall asleep in
meetings or church.
3 Reacting negatively to people or getting angry over little things. This
doesn't mean just getting angry with close friends and family, it also means you
ignore or respond harshly to people you normally have to work hard at being nice
to.
4 A sense of being spiritually drained or uninterested in the Bible and
church. You might find yourself being distracted at church or simply wondering why
you bother going.
5 Spiritual stagnation, no motivation to grow in your relationship with God.
6 Neglecting personal needs and those of your family. You might feel that you
are already spending all of your energy on ministry or other 'good' things and
when you come home you have nothing left and you just want to sit and be left
alone or do whatever you want to do.
7 Work or ministry has become monotonous and you feel no enjoyment in what you
do. This could be from working in the wrong kind of job.
Do you see these signs in your own life? Even small parts of these signs could be
an indicator that you might be getting burned out from your ministry or job. And
when you get burned out, your effectiveness in your job or ministry drops to near
zero.

Now that you know what signs of burnout might be in your life, it’s time to look
into recovering and healing from burnout.
It is important to note that stress at times in some small amounts can be good. It
can help motivate, and encourage you to get things done. But it is easy to go from
a reasonable amount of stress to way too much, stress in your life. It can
sometimes be hard to tell when you have a reasonable amount and when you are
overloaded but if you notice any of the signs, it probably means you have to much
stress in your life.
Burnout on the other hand, is not something you want any amount of in your life.
It is important to realize the difference now so that you can deal with it and
recover as soon as possible.

Damn too busy

It is not that I am complaining, I am actually thankful to have something to do. Since I am already working, you might have noticed the inconsistency of my blog post. Most of my post are not really what you called a "real post". Just a embedded image/video or a copy of an article from source. I would really like to post something that is actually my real post. It's just that it's a bit awkward writing yourself online or mentioning some personal things. Though it is unfair for tag this blog as a personal blog, but only few post about personal stuff. Guess I am not the expressive type of person offline and online.

Since I have been blog hoppping, most of the blogs I visited are from teens, ranges from ages 16 to early 20's. It is really amazing how they can easily post something about themselves and never get awkward about it. They can say about anything about a certain person (which would I would never do). It's more of their semi-diary of their lives.

Anyways , I'm glad I still have time to update my blogs(though not that much), I may not have that much to say...that's just to know that this blog is still active and will run for long period of time,

Wondergirls | Nobody Nobody But You Phenomenon | Fever

Believe it or not, I am actually hearing the song while writing this post. It is really amazing how people interact and know the song. It's been a popular song for a while now. The first time I heard the song was from my officemate, I thought it was just a regular Korean song from a koreanovela, I never thought it will be a popular song/dance.

The wonder girls (nobody) has been a hit in youtube, it has a over a million (more 2 million to be exact) views. It is really fun to see that not only women are fond of the song and dance but even some of the men. I sometimes hear someone sing in out place (really funny I must say). Of course, I have to watch the video myself. As I watched it, It is not that surprising why it become so popular, the girls are very cute(hot, in my opinion, the girl in the front is name Son Hee by the way (thanks google)). Second the dance step, the song is really simple to learn, even though it is Korean, the chorus sets it all up. The stepping is very cute and fits with the song (especially with the chorus part).

It is really a fun song to hear even though we already understand 3-4 words for the whole song/lyrics (that includes the title/artist)

Play the song here:

Wait, I am not done yet, our very own BBRC inmates(prisoners) here in cebu have their own version of Wonder uhmmm... girls?? , what can I say, they are not only inmates but entertainers at the same time.

Be dazzled

We often take opportunities for granted, though there are many instances that we get a once in a lifetime opportunity in our lifetime, not even once but many times. The important thing is do we get to chance to get these type of opportunities.. probably not that much. Though it is true that it will not always come our way but there is really no harm in trying. I myself have passed some opportunities in life. We can learn from this and do better the next time.

It doesn't matter if you are lucky or not. The moment you have these opportunities, you better grab it. I have seen a lot of people who never give up in terms of taking there chances whether be in game, sports, gambling or even raffles. People still pursue to get that opportunity.

For example, opportunities that involved in getting the best item or the best quality, lets just say an auction. If you have seen an actual auction or in television shows. You often wonder why people went there in the first place or what value they can get in an auction. The truth in these auctions is that it is not entirely about money earned or spent. Some of these auctions held this type of selling in order to raise money for charity works at the same time, satisfy the bidder or even get bonuses in there part.

The Bidazzled is one of them. They offer auctions of different items of different kind. The good thing is that you can bid high quality items with the lower price especially if the bid is low. They also funded charity works which is a win win situation for the bidder, not only they acquire valuable items, they also contribute and help the community as well.

Aug 5,2009 - A special non-working holiday for Corazon 'Cory' Aquino's funeral

MalacaƱang has declared Wednesday, Aug. 5, as a special non-working holiday in commemoration of the late former President Corazon “Cory” Aquino. The private funeral of Aquino will be held on Wednesday. She will be buried beside her late husband, Senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino, Jr. at the Manila Memorial Park. According to deputy presidential spokesperson Lorelei Fajardo, the declaration of Wednesday as a special non-working holiday will allow the nation to witness the moments before Aquino is brought to her final resting place, radio dzMM reported. A mass will be held at 9 a.m. at the Manila Cathedral before the burial. Fajardo earlier announced that President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has cut short her United States trip in order to make it to Aquino’s funeral service on Wednesday. Arroyo will leave New York for Manila on Saturday (Sunday in the Philippines). The chief executive declared a 10-day period of national mourning (Aug. 1 to Aug. 10) over the death of Aquino through Proclamation No. 1850. Aquino, 76, succumbed to colon cancer on Saturday at 3:18 a.m. Her wake is at the La Salle Green Hills (LSGH) gymnasium in Mandaluyong City. The public viewing at LSGH began at 5 p.m. of Saturday and will continue until Monday. The daily viewing schedule will be until 4 a.m., and will resume at 7 a.m.

No state funeral for Cory, says son

The Aquino family has opted for a private funeral for the late Corazon Aquino instead of a state funeral given to former presidents, according to Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.

Aquino said this was because his mother had chosen to be a private citizen when she finished her term in 1992, years after she was installed as the first woman president during the People Power revolution.

The democracy icon succumbed to colon cancer 3:18 am, August 1.

“We want to spend as much time as possible as a family,” said Aquino, as he thanked the public for following their advisories that visitors were not allowed at the Heritage Memorial Park.

He added that a necrology service in Malacanang might not be possible.

Between love and madness, lies xenophobia

“I’m not anticipating an offer, I’m not asking for an offer. There’s a point in time that we would want privacy,” he said.

A public viewing, however, has been scheduled at the La Salle Greenhills gym starting 5 pm Saturday until Monday morning. The former president will then be brought to Manila Cathedral for an overnight vigil, requiem masses and necrological services. Interment will be at the Manila Memorial Park on Wednesday, the Aquino family said.

Aquino said his mother will wear her signature yellow dress and will be buried beside her husband, former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino, whose assassination sparked the first EDSA revolution.

Fighting back tears during the press conference, Aquino said his sisters have been very emotional, but the death of their mother brought them closer.

“We draw strength from the five of us,” the senator said in a press conference Saturday.

He said he last talked to his mother days ago, before doctors gave the former president morphine to ease her pain.

“We were told to say everything we want to say because after the morphine she will be sleeping all the time,” he said.

He related that instead of complaining about her illness, the former president would first think about her children’s welfare or check what was on the news.

“Nung first time ko magbantay, she would ask me kung kumain na ako. Other times nagbabasa ako ng diyaryo itatanong niya ano laman niyan. She never demonstrated pain,” he said.
